Couples Therapy Near Me

Editorial policy

Last updated September 30, 2026

Our guides help people make practical decisions about couples therapy: what it costs, how to choose a therapist, what the common approaches are. They are not medical or psychological advice.

What we write about

  • Practical questions: cost, insurance, online sessions, license types, what to ask a therapist.
  • Plain-language descriptions of well-known approaches, based on the organizations that developed them.

We don’t write about diagnosis or treatment, and we don’t tell anyone whether they need therapy.

Sources

Every factual claim in a guide is backed by a source listed at the end of the guide: licensing boards, professional associations, the developers of a therapy approach, government agencies or peer-reviewed research. We check that each source link works and supports the sentence it’s cited for. Numbers about local fees or availability come from our own listings data and say so.

Fact-checking

Before a guide is published, each factual claim is checked against the source cited for it. Our guides are not reviewed by a licensed clinician. If that changes, each reviewed guide will say who reviewed it and when.

City summaries

The short summaries on city pages describe our listings for that city (for example how many therapists offer online sessions). They contain no claims beyond that.
