This policy explains what we collect when you use this website, what we publish about therapists, and your choices. Contact: [email protected].

If you’re looking for a therapist

• No accounts, no tracking cookies. Directory pages don’t set cookies. We don’t currently use analytics or advertising tools. If we add analytics in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
• Searches. The city you type in the search box is used only to find the matching page.
• Server and network logs. Like most websites, our hosting and content delivery network providers process technical data such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept for a limited time.
• Links to therapists. When you visit a therapist’s website from a listing, that website’s own privacy policy applies.

If you use the removal or correction form

We collect your name, email address, the listing concerned and your message, so we can process the request and reply. We store a one-way hash of your IP address to prevent abuse, not the address itself. We keep requests for as long as needed to honor them, including keeping removed listings removed.

What we publish about therapists

Listings are built from public sources: the federal NPI registry and therapists’ own public websites. We publish professional information only: name, credentials, license type, practice city and ZIP code, and practice details stated on their website. For therapists we haven’t verified, we also show the phone number listed in the NPI registry. We never publish street addresses from the registry.

We also keep professional contact details that therapists publish on their own websites, such as a practice email address, phone number, profile photo and social media links. We may use a practice email address to contact a therapist about their listing; every such email includes a way to opt out. Therapists can ask us to remove or correct their listing, or to stop contacting them, at any time.

Sharing and selling

We don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

We’ll update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top.
